Set of 6 Winsor&Newton Griffin alkyd oil paints in 37 ml tubes, which are characterized by a much shorter drying time compared to traditional paints. The Griffin series is based on natural vegetable oil that has undergone a polymerization process, combined with alkyd resin and carefully selected pigments. Drying time is up to 24 hours, compared to several months for conventional oil painting. Griffin paints remain malleable and susceptible to modification for 4 to 8 hours after application, allowing artists to work and make corrections freely. Once dry, the painting surface acquires an attractive satin finish. A special modification of the binder prevents yellowing and guarantees that the color intensity is maintained. The paints are ideal for both impasto and fine glaze techniques, and their consistency allows precise control during painting. Griffin paints perform well in both studio and plein air work, and works made with these paints can be varnished as soon as 30 days after completion, a significant advantage over traditional oil paints that require at least six months drying time before varnishing.
