Derwent graphitone water soluble pencils

Innovative wood-free pencils, made entirely of water-soluble graphite. They are a combination of a traditional graphite pencil and a watercolor crayon, thanks to the content of high-quality clay in the composition of the stylus. The watercolor pencil can be drawn dry, but when the surface covered with it is blurred with water, it takes on a transparency that results in a watercolor effect. These pencils are available in four softnesses: 2B (Light), 4B (Medium), 6B (Dark) and 8B (Very Dark), giving you the option of tonal variation in your work, from the intense black made with the 8B pencil to the delicate shades of gray created with the 2B pencil. Until dry, it is possible to correct the painted spots. Graphitone pencils are very economical, they last for a long time of use thanks to the fact that they are wood-free. This means that they can be used up in full, gradually unwinding the paper protecting the graphite. These pencils are characterized by high lightfastness, which means that the works made with them will remain in an unchanged state for a long time. For best results, it is recommended to paint with natural or synthetic brushes on watercolor paper. There are also Watersoluble Sketching pencils, which have a wooden handle.
