The brushes are made of a mixture of goat and horse hair which is slightly stiffer than squirrel hair. At the same time, it is resilient and flexible enough and has a rough texture to store and gradually release large amounts of water. They are perfect for heavy washing and mixing large color spots. The brushes have a black, seamless aluminum sleeve that matches the polished white and black tips of the handle.
