Szmal bone glue

Technical gelatins and animal glues are derived from collagen substances contained in the bones and skins of animals. Animal adhesives are odorless, hard, dry, sometimes transparent, and can range in color from light amber to dark brown. They are most often produced in the form of pearls, flakes or powder. Stronger than most modern adhesives, animal adhesives are still used in wood restoration and traditional woodworking, as well as in some painting techniques.
