Colour intensity has been reproduced from hand-made, limited-edition oil paints produced prior to 1840. The consistency is silky, not greasy, which allows artists to paint with great ease in every way, from imposing the thickest layers of paint to thick brush strokes. The technique used dates back to the old masters. Michael Harding creates strong, intense colours that are both beautiful and durable. Fillers and thinner are not used. No accelerating agents are added to any pigment in the paint, so that the paint does not crumble, does not crack and does not wrinkle.All colours are cold-cut with linseed oil, purified to the highest degree, with neutral acidity, which provides exceptional durability.
