Schmincke rapid malmittel is a fast drying medium for oil paints. In combination with paint, it gives it gloss and transparency, and also affects its consistency, which facilitates spreading it over the canvas. It works well in layer painting as well as in the "alla prima" technique. The mixture dries quickly on the palette, so it is recommended to work quickly. The applied layers dry within a few hours. Mix with oil paint in a proportion of 10% to a maximum of 20%. Always use a spatula to thoroughly mix the medium with the paint.If necessary, the mixture can be diluted eg with turpentine substitute 50019. Close immediately after use.
