Da Vinci's Black Sable 1640 Series natural round brushes are high-quality tools designed for oil painting. They have black sable bristles, which are a perfect compromise between bristles and red kolinsky bristles. With their increased stiffness, they resemble bristle brush painting, but without leaving visible strokes on the layers. Perfect for fine blending and smoothing edges, they are often chosen by portrait and realistic painters. They feature a silver cap and a long, burgundy lacquered handle. They are an excellent price alternative compared to red Kolinsky bristles, especially in larger sizes. The total length of the brushes varies between 29-32 cm.
