Ethyl lactate is a clear, colorless liquid with a fruity odor. It is used as a new generation solvent for cleaning paintings and polychromes. It is easily recyclable, non-corrosive, non-carcinogenic and non-destructive to the ozone layer. Used instead of the more harmful xylene and chlorine.
