Caran d'Ache grafcube are bars of natural, pure graphite with an admixture of pigment. The dry color obtained is very subtle, only after mixing with water rich tones of carmine red (575), dark phthalic green (719) or Prussian blue (159) are revealed. Bars are suitable for creating quick expressive sketches or for filling large areas using the entire surface of the solid. After sharpening with a knife, you can draw the fine lines needed to create precise sketches. Graphite powder obtained during planing can be mixed with water and applied with a brush, obtaining interesting light and shade effects. The bars have a high lightfastness, both when dry and mixed with water.
