Maimeri acrilico 831 light modelling paste 200ml

Dense, white paste used exclusively in layered-texture techniques. Lighter than the classic acrylic pasta-identical volume weighs approximately half less. The volumetric medium can be mixed with acrylic paints and temperaments in the required amounts. Added in small portions gently weakens the colour but significantly increases the opacity which saves the paint. The substance obtained by mixing the paint with the bulk medium is very plastic and gives excellent relief effects. Can be applied directly to the substrate and then painted. The surface obtained by applying one layer of this medium is porous and very absorbent, perfectly accepting the paint. It can even be painted with water paints which gives an extraordinary result: the combination of watercolor transparency with pasty texture.
The paste is so natural that after drying it is identical to the substrate and can also be painted with oil paints. Of course - as a water emulsion - with the oil paint alone can not be mixed.
Increasing the thickness increases the drying time. Completely dry product creates a strongly adhering surface. This effect is not reversible. The special composition of this medium causes no cracks when drying the surface of the image. The perfect tool for applying this versatile product is a putty knife. A few minutes after application, the surface is semi-dry and hardened: it can be formed with sharp tools, combs, etc. The volume medium has satin gloss.
