The piston is a calligraphy accessory from the English company Manuscript Pen. It is designed for fountain pens and provides an alternative, economical solution to ink cartridges. The piston is easy to use and works on the principle of a syringe: after attaching it to the pen (in the same way as a traditional cartridge), the pen dips into the ink and sucks.
