Kolinsky Sable Brushes, Series 7, are the highest quality sable-bristle round brushes for watercolor painting. The tradition of this series dates back to 1866, when British Queen Victoria commissioned Winsor & Newton to make brushes of the highest possible standard and in her favorite size: No. 7. These brushes are still in production today and still have the same quality - excellent soft Kolinsky-type bristles that crown a smooth nickel cap that resists corrosion and an elegant black lacquered short but comfortable handle. Painting with these brushes is a guarantee of pleasure and satisfaction. There are two types of brushes from the 7 series, which differ in bristle size. The present type are brushes in sizes 000-6 designed for extremely precise work and for doing all kinds of details. The very pointed tips allow tremendous control over the brush while painting. Control over their guidance according to the artist's requirements is made possible by the elasticity of the bristles, which return to their original shape when the brush is removed from the painted surface. Kolinsky bristles carry the paint superbly and ensure uniform application. The brushes are great for creating on small and even miniature formats.
Brush sizes to choose from: 000, 00, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
Not all brushes have a plastic bristle guard.
