Saunders Waterford is an excellent watercolor paper, obtained traditionally on a cylinder machine. It is a series of papers of the highest quality produced in cooperation with the Royal Watercolor Society's by St Cuthberts Mill. It is produced from 100% cotton, the best material for watercolor paper meeting the high requirements and standards for archival products. Each sheet is embossed with calcium carbonate which greatly improves the durability of future painted works.
The attractive surface texture of Sounders Waterford papers is created by using high-quality cotton felt. The surface of the paper is coated with natural gelatin, which significantly strengthens the entire structure and increases its resistance to abrasion and other mechanical damage.
