Caran d'ache, thanks to the high concentration of top-grade pure pigments, is characterized by rich and intense colors with a loose texture. They provide very wide shading possibilities from mist, through subtle transparency effects to intense and strongly colored colors. In the range of 84 colors up to 61 will retain their color unchanged for over 50 years and some of them even over 100 years old. There is a great concern for the color markings on the tip of each crayon to match the color of the graphite. The housing is made of top quality Californian cedar certified by FSC.
