The unique formula of Derwent pastel paints delights with its softness and lightness. Similar to gouache, a thicker layer will be opaque. Pastel paints have a matte finish. The colors of this set can be both applied with delicate glazes and layered for a more expressive effect. They can be mixed with the Inktense range and Derwent Metallic paints.
The Derwent Pastel Shades set includes 12 colors with a unique formula, a water brush, a sponge for cleaning the brush. There are as many as 5 areas for mixing shades on the lid of the case. Colors included: Lemon, Peach, Coral Pink, Pink Flamingo, Orchid Pink, Lavender, Cornflower Blue, Turquoise, Mint, Artichoke, Storm Gray, Silver Blue.
