They contain very little binder, making them exceptionally soft and smooth. Pastels are made of traditional pigments such as: cadmium, cobalt, natural and synthetic earths. They have excellent mixing properties, so they can be used wet or dry. Pastels are characterized by vivid and intense colors and high resistance to light.
