A set of 6 blocks of compressed charcoal in unique earthy tones. The blocks have a soft texture that blends and blends perfectly when crushed. Each block contains intense pigments that allow you to draw lines with deep colours, as well as create delicate tonal transitions. The charcoal has very good opacity and is great for drawing solids, as well as creating chiaroscuro on them. When drawing, you can use the edges to create narrow lines or cover large areas with the entire width of the block. When small amounts of water are added, it is easy to control the intensity of the colours and also create interesting structural effects. The powdery texture of the charcoals encourages various experiments, e.g. applying the combined mixture with water using an atomiser, creating an interesting effect of even texture.
