The Kuretake Brush Pen Mannen Mouhitsu "makie-monogatari" akafuji is an extraordinary brush pen that impresses with its extraordinary elegance and precision craftsmanship. It resembles a traditional fountain pen, but its uniqueness lies in its tip made of natural sable hair, which makes it ideal for Japanese calligraphy, brush lettering, drafting and drawing. It is suitable both for professional artwork and for those who appreciate exceptional tools for everyday writing. The graphics on the case have been created using the Maki-e technique, which involves hand-applying metallic powder (which also includes precious metals such as gold and silver) to decorated objects. 
In the set you will find three interchangeable cartridges with black water-based ink, which not only provides deep color, but is also waterproof and resistant to aging. Refills for the Mannen Mouhitsu series can be purchased separately. 

To keep the pen in excellent condition, we recommend using it at least once a month. If by chance the tip dries out, you can easily refresh it by soaking it overnight in room temperature water and replacing the cartridges.
