Liquitex bio-based gel gloss medium 250 ml

Liquitex Professional Bio-Based Medium Gell is an innovative product dedicated to acrylic paints of the same series, which combines high quality professional acrylic media with environmental concerns. It increases surface gloss, color depth and transparency, while reducing the viscosity of denser paints and improving their fluidity. What's more, the product allows the paint to dry longer, giving artists more time to work with the material. The product is semi-transparent with a gel consistency, and becomes transparent when dry, although it can retain a degree of translucency when applied very thickly.

The main distinguishing feature of this medium is its composition. Half of the traditional resin base, which is usually entirely derived from petrochemicals, has been replaced by ingredients derived from renewable sources such as corn, soybeans, sugarcane and algae. These biological components can be reconstituted or supplemented relatively quickly through natural processes or cultivation, significantly reducing the negative environmental impact of production.

The product can be diluted with up to 25% water, with distilled water achieving the best results.
